This is what I came up with following the diresctions.

using the same concept as above, I darkened the background and added Sandpaper texture to the bubbles. And I removed the reflection of the earth and moon.

I used just the background and the bubbles for this one. I added Chrome texture from the Layers Properties and it reminds me of a field of meteors.
